Julius Caesar reputedly landed on the beach here around 55 BC, although it is sole 1 conceivable landing.

Walmer is closely associated using its adjoining neighbour, a town of Deal - sharing many agreeableness & services & benefiting from either Treat's High Street camping vicinity. Treat has one of a south-south-east's pack leftover piers.

Both little lifeboats come stationed within Walmer.

Walmer Castle

Walmer Castle and its beautiful formal gardens are the major attraction for visitant. A official home of Lord Warden of a Cinque Ports since a 18th Century, the building is at present an English Heritage property and features the collection of memorabilia of the Duke of Wellington, of the Battle of Waterloo fame, who manufactured Walmer his page for Xxiii years.

A Castle was built inside 1540 as one of three on the Kent coast by orders of Henry VIII.
